First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Martins Point Health Care.
Human Resources
There was a call from an external recruiter, then another one from the internal recruiter. After that, there were four interviews. Two of those interviews involved a group of 6-7 people. A lot of them didn't seem to know much about the role itself. It felt like a couple of them had already made up their minds about me before the interview even started.
- Can you tell me about your general experience?
- How does your experience relate to this specific role?
Patient Service Representative
Applied for the job and got a recruiter call quickly who explained the role. Had a phone interview with her, then was told my application would be passed on. The next day, I got a call for an interview in Portland for the call center. That interview was with two people and was very friendly and open. I didn't get that role because more experienced people applied. But the following week, I was called for an interview in South Portland for a combined call center and check-in role. This was a one-on-one interview that felt like a conversation. The manager was super friendly and asked really strong questions. Towards the end, the lead came in and asked a few questions about how I learn. Less than two days later, I got the job offer. I started two weeks after that. The whole hiring process was the smoothest I've ever experienced.
- Can you describe your communication style, for instance, direct or considerate, and how you adapt to different communication styles?
- What is your preferred learning style?
- Describe a situation where you had to assist an upset customer. What actions did you take, and what was the outcome?
Contact Center Director
The recruiter Jordan was great to work with and really stayed involved during the entire process. After the initial FIT interview, I had a video call with the hiring manager and then three more video interviews with different people from the company. Everyone involved was fantastic, and even though I didn't get an offer, I'd still recommend this company based on the team I met. The recruiter even called me personally to deliver the news and provide feedback from the team. She was amazing!
- How would you approach modifying processes that have effects on other parts of the business?
Support
The interview process was very long, with 8 interviews total and meeting with at least 12 people over a 3-month period. While the interviews were fun and engaging, they could have been shorter. The company likes its long interview process, which is a plus, but it's so long it can be inconvenient for candidates.
- Tell me about your hobbies or what you do for fun.
- Which systems have you previously worked with?
