Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Marshall Wace.
Analyst
Had a nice interview with a lovely person. They asked about my past experiences, including ways I have faced challenges, worked in teams, and communicated with people. I did not get through to the next stage, but I hope to work with them in the future.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a challenging situation?
Analyst
A few online tests were given, followed by a meeting with the portfolio manager at the office. They asked technical questions, competency questions, a stock pitch, and some other things. The offices are nice. Try to come across as pleasant, as the firm really values culture.
- Do you work well in a team?
Analyst
It was a pretty light interview process, they mostly asked about my previous experience, what I was currently doing, and my reasons for wanting to join their company. Basic stuff. The whole process took them a long time, about two months, before they eventually informed me that they had selected another candidate.
- Do you have any investment ideas to share?
