The interview process was pretty standard. They mainly asked about my previous experiences, including courses I've taken and any lab research I've done. One question that stood out was about how I would market an experiment if I designed it, which felt a bit out of place for a biology internship. They said I didn't have marketing knowledge, which was strange. Also, they don't let you know if you didn't get the offer and ghost you even after you follow up, which is pretty unprofessional.

The interview process involved a phone interview followed by four separate interviews, including HR and the department manager. Each of these lasted 40 minutes. A lot of situational questions about time management and priorities came up in each interview. Everything seemed to go well until the final interview with the manager, who asked questions in a very awkward way. I was definitely caught off guard. The work culture there seemed interesting, but a lot of the employees seem to be just there to work and don't really enjoy their jobs. Many were talking about going back to school for other things or getting a higher degree for more pay. My tips are to come very well prepared. Review all your past laboratory work and understand why specific items are used. Practice answering situational questions about time management and priorities.

It was a very short behavioral interview. The company was very unprofessional and gave no response after the interview. The only reason someone would want to work there is to stay in the Davis area.

They started with a phone chat about my resume and current classes. Then, I went in person to meet with four people. We talked about my technical abilities, my future goals after graduation, and my past work history. They seemed to like that I had prior experience working with aseptic labs.
