We had a 45 min interview where they asked about my experience, skills, and projects. The environment was calm and we talked broadly about my tech background. I recall these questions:

Behavioral Presentation

I went through two interviews for this role. The first was with two senior managers. The second interview, which was a call-back, included three managers, one of whom was the president. Both were one-on-one interviews. They asked a lot of questions. During the interview with the president, he asked me, "as a working mother, isn't it tough to juggle both kids and career? My wife found it too challenging." I wondered if he asks men the same thing. It's disappointing that in 2016, this is still a question that comes up. I also heard from a former employee that while the agency claims to offer a good work/life balance, it's actually very demanding with long hours and little flexibility. After the interviews, I was told it went well and they'd get back to me later that week. However, I had already received another job offer and never heard back from Marriner.

This was a lengthy interview process. I ended up talking to 8 different people, and it took quite a while for them to make a decision, to the point where I almost lost hope for the job. The whole thing stretched out for about 3 months. I suspect they've had bad experiences before, but I felt like they were being overly cautious. I think the company might be missing out on good candidates because the interview process is so long.
