I had a first-round interview with MarketStar for the Inside Sales Flex Team role. The starting pay was presented as $21.67/hr, but there was not much information about the pay range or potential cap. I had to push to talk about higher starting pay, and I know others at MarketStar who started higher with less experience. The recruiter said she'd call back that evening but didn't, so I had to call her the next day. The interview was on speakerphone, which was hard to hear and felt unprofessional. After following up, I was told they moved forward with other candidates. I asked for feedback but was told none was available. The interview process felt disorganized and poorly communicated. MarketStar might have good opportunities, but the interview experience was lacking in transparency, professionalism, and follow-through.

The interview process is frustrating because after going through it all, they restart you at the first interview. It's a big time waste! They hire and fire based on new business contracts and lay off staff when contracts aren't renewed. I've interviewed over 10 times and completed 3 sets of 3-round interviews, only to have the opportunity vanish because a company didn't renew its contract. Then they just say 'oops, let's find you another position and start the whole process over.'

Had a phone interview asking about my sales experience and how I would handle certain situations, like meeting sales goals or dealing with difficult people. It was about 15 minutes. Then I went in for an in-person interview. It was a panel interview with three managers from different teams. They asked about the same stuff but went more in-depth and asked about past experiences that proved my answers.
