They asked me about my management experience and coaching style. I explained how I'd support an underperforming rep by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, ensuring accountability, and outlining the specific program and structure we'd implement together. It was a good interview.

MarketStar doesn't have a standard hiring process; each team sets its own. It's also hard to move between teams. I applied for over 10 roles, and many times I was overqualified. Each role had a unique process and hiring team, and they didn't share information, so each interview started from scratch. It involved a recruiter Google Meet, unpaid work, a second Google Meet, and then ghosting. Three recruiters told me they don't notify candidates when a hiring team declines them, so don't expect a response unless you ask. I'm not sure how this company makes money.

I went through a few different interviews for this role. The hiring manager was really thoughtful and asked some challenging but fair questions. The interview itself went a little over 30 minutes. He made sure to answer my follow-up questions and kept me updated on the process since it took a bit longer than usual.
