First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MarketOne.
Intern
So first there was a phone call with the hiring manager, then we had 2 more interviews. The first one was asking me about past experiences and my personality, like a "tell me about a time" type of thing. The second one was more hands-on, testing my skills with the person who would be my direct manager.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with a challenging coworker?
- Describe a situation where you faced competing priorities.
- Tell me about a time you had to handle a difficult coworker.
Marketing Automation Consultant
I was contacted by an HR initially, and then had interviews with 3 regions. After the interviews, I was told to wait a week, but it ended up being a month with no contact. After a month, two more HRs contacted me about salary. They said I'd get an offer letter once confirmed. But it's been over 2 weeks, and I've been ghosted. No one answers calls or messages. I'm not sure if I should still expect an offer.
- Were there discussions and questions about mapping platforms?
Customer Engagement Analyst
The interview process included a first conversation with the HR Manager, followed by a second interview. The second interview involved the HR Manager and three other team members. The first interview was more of a chat, and the second one consisted of a sales presentation, a typing test, and a questionnaire.
- Can you tell me about three transferable skills you plan to bring to this company?
Web Operations Manager
Got a call from a recruiter for a web ops manager role at MarketOne. It sounded good, so they set up an interview with the VP of Ops. Had a nice chat about the job and company. Then, I went back a few days later to meet with an IT staffer, which was also positive. After that, I met with their VP of Sales, which was weird for a web ops job. He grilled me about sales experience, and he wasn't pleasant. Didn't hear back, and after chasing the recruiter, I was told they were looking for people more suited for sales. It seemed like they weren't clear about the role, going from web ops to sales without saying so.
