I went through 3 stages of interviews. HR & VP said the offer would be coming. But then management changed their mind about remote work and were super indecisive even though I already had other offers. Lots of red flags in the process. I was ready to start managing products for the e-commerce business, but with the pay not matching the work and remote work being uncertain, I'm glad I didn't move forward. The interview stages were HR, Team + Director, and finally VP.

It was a long process. I had over 8 interviews with senior people, VPs, directors, and the CEO. Some interviews were via Skype, and others were in person. They asked about my past experience, my knowledge of the position, and the company to gauge my genuine interest in the project and the role. They also asked questions about how I'd handle specific scenarios, my self-motivation, and how I approach challenges. The goal was to get a better understanding and increase my belief and commitment to the project.

I interviewed with them when they were just ramping up their hiring. At that time, they had some good managers and wanted to hire people they could develop. Nowadays, they've started conducting tough interviews because they think they have too many developers who aren't performing well, without realizing that the issues with some of their staff are a direct result of their poor morale and how they limit everyone's capabilities, even those with great potential. My advice is to avoid working here. They don't deserve the talented people they're looking for, or even average talent. Trust the reviews from other developers; they're telling the truth.

HR reached out to me about a job posting they had open, sending over the JD before it was published. I confirmed my interest and we had a phone interview scheduled for the next day. It went great, the interviewer said I was exactly what they were looking for. They then scheduled another call with my future manager for later that week, but the call never came and they didn't reply to my follow-up email. THIS COMPANY WILL GHOST APPLICANTS.
