I had an in-person interview with three professors. I didn't feel like they were really considering me, like they already had someone picked and were just going through the motions. It seems like who you know is more important than your credentials and experience. I was really disappointed, and I had heard that before coming here.

Submitted my application through USA jobs, then I waited for an interview. After that, I started the clearance process. I got a conditional offer, and then continued with the clearance. Then I got the final offer and we negotiated the start date. There was a secret clearance requirement and DOD 8570. The clearance took 8 weeks from start to finish.
