Behavioral Technical

I had a chat with a recruiter at EXPO, and after sending my resume through my school's job board, they suggested I apply online. Once I did that, I got an invite for a HireVue video interview. It's set up so questions appear, you get 30 seconds to prep, and then up to 3 minutes to answer each. You really gotta get ready for it. The questions were mostly behavioral, plus some others. There were 7 questions in total, but I can't recall them all.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • What makes you choose Marathon over other oil companies?
  • Can you share an experience where two parties had a disagreement and how you resolved it?
  • Tell me about a situation where you faced a technical challenge while collaborating with a team and your approach to solving it.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online on the Marathon Oil website. About two weeks later, they reached out for a video interview. It was mostly basic behavioral questions, nothing too surprising. A week after that video call, I got contacted for a phone interview. They wanted to know why I was interested in Marathon Oil, asked about my past internships, and threw in a few technical questions. Then, about a week after the phone interview, I got an offer.
