First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Maple Leaf Foods.
Manager
It was pretty simple. First, there was a screening interview on the phone. Then, they set up another, more in-depth interview with the hiring manager and a panel. All in all, the process was easy and straightforward.
- Tell me about the job itself.
Management Trainee
First, there's a phone interview, and then you have a face-to-face interview. Typically, 4-5 people are there for interviews, but you'll only be interviewed by 3. So, in the end, it really depends on who interviewed you to succeed.
- Tell me about your ability to manage work.
- How committed are you to staying with the company?
Manager
I sent in my resume for a job posting. HR Manager reached out and asked me to come to the local plant for the first interview. It ended up being a really long interview, over four hours, because a lot of upper management was at the plant that day. After that, I was invited to interview at the US Corporate Headquarters near Chicago with the VP of Supply Chain. Following that, the Director who would be my direct report called me for another interview with him.
- No unexpected questions were asked.
