First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mando America Corporation.
Functional Safety Lead
Telephonic screening was the first round. Then a video call with the technical teams, which was good and organized. The whole process took about a week and a half to finalize, which was pretty fast. The HR round was also very quick to respond.
- Can you share your experiences in functional safety and projects you've managed?
- Tell me about your functional safety work experiences with projects you handled.
Manager
Started with a headhunter call, then went to an on-site panel interview. Some directors were absent, and the manager conducting the interview seemed to be describing a different role, which was confusing. The team I was supposed to manage seemed to have good experience but lacked enthusiasm, and I found out they work in a basement. The location is also very remote.
- Are you planning to leave within two years?
- Would you be willing to travel to Korea?
- Can you define what a sensor is?
Machine Operator
They called to schedule an interview. Then there was an interview with Human Resources and another with the team leader and Manager. They tell you about the Company, areas, who they are, etc. Then they send you a mail hiring you. The whole process took 5 weeks.
- Can you tell me about yourself and your major field of study?
- Are you familiar with operating machinery?
Functional Safety Engineer
The process was well managed and HR kept me informed. Because of covid, I couldn't travel for the final round, so management arranged a video call instead. They also allowed me to work from home during that time due to the pandemic.
- Tell me about functional safety and provide a case study.
- Explain the process of analyzing HARA.
- Describe how safety requirements are derived from safety goals.
