I applied by emailing HR recruiting directly with a small paragraph on who I am, what I am looking for, and my degree. I got a call back form a woman in HR who asked some questions about what I want. We then set up an interview with the DM and myself. Everything went well.

Met with the HR director at a hotel in Meadowlands, NJ. I don't have a car and the required location needs one. I told the director that transportation wouldn't be an issue, but he wanted to meet at that location. He had my resume, and we basically just talked about my past work and what I thought of the company's website. I'd done my homework on the company, its history, and its site, and even gave him some notes. I sent a thank you right after. Even though I felt I did well, I didn't hear back the next week as expected. I also tried reaching out to the recruiter, but no response. Not sure why I didn't get a call back.

It was a relaxed yet professional interview process. I had one-on-one meetings with all the management, and we had a good time talking on a professional level. It made me feel really comfortable throughout the whole thing, which isn't always easy when you're interviewing and might feel intimidated. I was eager to start working there.

I got a call and then an interview the next week. I was interviewed with one other girl. We were asked questions that gauged our ability to handle a retail environment. Then she said she'd call us if we had the job.
