First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Management & Training Corp..
Case Manager and Instructor
The interview was alright, I guess, except for some "gotcha" questions. I was also worried that the interviewer didn't know my degree, which is common in this field and I used to teach it. Most of all, I hated wasting my time twice and being ghosted twice. I even followed up by email after the first ghosting (back in November), even though it was for a different role under a different supervisor. It was funny and worrying that the second interviewer didn't remember being the second person in my first interview. Still ghosted after the second interview. Don't waste your time. They are unprofessional and don't respect applicants enough to follow up. I even followed up via email after my first experience being ghosted (my first experience was back in November), as this was for a different role under a different supervisor. Hilariously, and concerningly, the person who interviewed me the second time actually did not recall having been the second person sitting in on my first interview. Still ghosted after the second interview. Don’t bother wasting your time.
- What would you do if an inmate was disruptive during a group session?
Career Transition Specialist
I was selected from my online application and they reached out to me for an online Teams interview. They asked me questions about my education and background. They asked about my knowledge of the Job Corps program and why I was interested in the job. They asked if I had any questions, and then a few days later they contacted me to offer me the job.
- What is your understanding of the Job Corps program?
- What makes you interested in this position?
Manager
So it went down in 3 parts. First, a phone call which felt like a basic screening. Then, I had two in-person meetings. The first in-person was a deep dive to check actual skills for the role. The last one was more like a final check for fit before they'd offer me the job. After that, I got a call with a job offer, and we talked salary on the phone before I got the official paperwork.
- What's currently on your reading list?
Enrollee Specialist
So if they like your application, someone from the hiring team will reach out to schedule a time. It was two phone calls and then an in-person interview. Pretty straightforward, found it on indeed and applied online.
- Questions asking for specific factual answers to show what you know.
- Questions that are more open-ended, asking you to elaborate on your thoughts.
- Questions asking how you would handle a made-up scenario.
