Had a phone interview with the hiring manager and the Finance Manager. Then, I had an in-person interview with the same people plus a Sr. technical resource (Solutions Architect). They gave me some pages of Level 100-400 topics and told me to just talk about anything I wanted. I ended up talking with their senior Architect about Active Directory, some general history and changes in its roles, and best practices.

It all started with a job fair invite (happened at a brewery) where I met a field employee, then the manager came later. I emailed the manager a couple days later. Then HR Manager called me for a phone interview. A few days after that, the HR person told me there was a new manager for the department and things would be delayed until he settled in. A couple weeks went by, and then HR emailed me to set up an interview. After the interview, I felt like I didn't get the job, even though about 85% of the interview felt like I was gonna get hired. I got a rejection email a week later.

After applying, I got contacted the next day to set up a 30-minute video interview with HR, which happened a few days later. It felt like a phone screen, mostly talking about the job and some background questions. During the chat, they mentioned that even though the job description said it was entry-level with no experience needed, it actually required 3-6 years of experience and was usually a step up for their current entry-level folks. The interviewer offered to put me on the waitlist for the real entry-level job, but said they weren't hiring for it right now. As expected, I didn't hear back after that.

First I spoke with the Business Operations Manager, who is basically the recruiter. She knows the industry well and was easy to talk to. She screens candidates by email and phone. If you pass the phone interview, you come in for an in-person interview. If you're a good fit, you then speak with the VP of Sales and Marketing. After that, they give you time to consider if you want to move forward. The last step is a panel interview. The VP of Sales and Marketing is smart and driven, and knows what it takes to succeed. The downside is, this role involves a lot of cold calling, about 150-200 calls a week. It's a sink or swim situation. Even if you make the calls, there's no guarantee you'll be kept on. It seems like a high turnover position, which is why it's open. They claim to be a global company, but it's unclear since they only sell solutions, not products.
