First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mana Products.
Quality Assurance Specialist
The interview process was very simple. First, there was an HR screening. Then, I had an interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was a third interview with the head of the department and another manager. The questions they asked were very straightforward, and it felt like a conversation.
- Do you have experience working in quality management systems?
Packaging Supervisor
I met with two department heads, but they wanted me to also meet with a manager who was absent at the time. They mentioned they'd arrange a follow-up interview with that manager, but I never heard back to schedule it, despite sending thank you notes and calling to check in.
- What are your five-year career aspirations?
Chemist
I was recruited via LinkedIn for a Microsoft Teams interview. While I get that it's a safe and efficient method given COVID, I actually would have preferred a regular phone call. The audio was really bad and the interviewer spoke too quickly, so I had to ask them to repeat themselves a lot, which was super awkward. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't understand everything due to the fast talking and poor audio. The 45-minute interview was cut short to just 10 minutes because of this. If this is how communication works at Mana, I'm not sure I'm interested.
- Are you able to work in a demanding, fast-paced setting?
Manager
Got referred by an associate, then they reached out and after a quick phone call, we scheduled an in-person interview for the next week. I met some staff members who were really nice and funny. Then I met with HR. They didn't really talk about company policies, benefits, or salary range. The HR chat was a bit awkward (see questions below), but everyone else seemed great and hardworking. HR got back to me two weeks later saying I got an offer letter, even though we hadn't discussed salary, benefits, policies, or the exact title. I asked for some info and to discuss negotiation possibilities, and they immediately took back the offer. I'm not sure if I would have had to sign an NDA.
- Can you tell me about your experience and what led you here?
