Product Manager
I got referred by an employee for the role. The entire thing took about 3-4 weeks. First, there was a 30-minute HR call. Then, I had a 1-hour technical interview with the product team leader. The final interview, also 1 hour, was with a colleague product manager and an engineering manager, and we talked about collaboration, tech skills, and company fit. They mentioned they sometimes give out an assignment, but I didn't have to do one.
- What's your approach to creating a product roadmap?
- How do you deal with conflicting customer requirements?
- Can you walk me through a project from your CV?
Product Manager
The interview process was really nice, professional, and welcoming. It made me feel enabled and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It was also helpful because it let me check my own fit with the job requirements and company culture better. The recruiter was super nice, professional, and proactive.
- How do you best collaborate with customers and users?
Product Manager
The interview process was quite thorough and professional. It started with a Skype get-to-know-you call, followed by an HR & Management interview, and then a Tech Lead Interview. Throughout all stages, the vibe was positive and friendly, making me feel encouraged to be open. This gave me a feel for the team dynamic, even though it was primarily at the management level. We also talked about internal processes, and they asked me specific questions about how I would handle prioritization in certain scenarios.
- As someone new to this industry, what do you think you'd need to learn to excel as a product manager, and what steps would you take to acquire that knowledge?
