First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.
Chemical Process Engineer
I had two interviews. The first was with HR and that went well. The second was with the team, including the hiring manager, HR, and some engineers, and that also went well. They mentioned there might be a quiet period before I heard back, but it's been over a month, and even a follow-up email got no response. It's possible their process is just slow, but getting ghosted isn't a great sign. I really liked talking with them and learning more about the job. I still think it's a good fit and would be open to more interviews if they contacted me.
- Can you describe a situation where you disagreed with someone and how you handled it?
EHS Specialist
The interview process itself was pretty good, the people interviewing me knew their stuff and really got into the important aspects of the role. I didn't end up getting the job, which is fine because I had another offer that wouldn't require me to relocate. My main issue was with their broken promise about covering my hotel and travel expenses; they even suggested a hotel nearby. After the interview, they just went completely silent and ignored all my attempts to get them to pay the bills.
- Can you tell me about your past experiences?
- What makes you the best candidate for this position?
- Are you willing and happy to relocate to this area?
Complaint Analyst
Started with a quick HR phone call. Then had one 2 hour interview where they asked about my experience, mostly behavioral questions, and any experience I had in the field. They also shared info about the position and the day-to-day tasks.
- What is your motivation for working here?
- Tell me about your experience.
- Do you have experience in this field?
Director, Access and Reimbursement
I applied and the recruiter contacted me a couple days later to schedule a 30 minute phone call. It was a typical, straight-forward conversation that hit all the key points like timeline and comp. It ended positively with a commitment to move me forward to the next step, which was supposed to be a meeting with the hiring manager at the end of the week. He also encouraged me to reach out to team members as I did my research. However, at the end of the week, I received a generic rejection email from Workday. What a waste of time and disrespect. Be better and treat others as you would like to be treated.
- Can you describe your previous three roles?
