So I had 3 interviews total for this role, but then they just ghosted me after the last one with a co-founder. The craziest part was in the 2nd round, they asked me to reschedule not even an hour before, and this happened like 3 times. Then there was 2 weeks of silence trying to get another time set up. It seemed promising after the first interview, but then I heard about the work-life balance and the constant rescheduling, it was hard to ignore the red flags. I wanted to finish it out, but getting ghosted after the final round just confirmed they don't really respect candidates.

I got an email about a freelance gig and they responded about next steps. There was some confusion bc the job wasn't what I applied for. After we sorted that out, they said I'd have a phone call interview the next day, but when it happened, they criticized me for not having my video camera on. I overlooked that, and we continued. After that, I had several conversations and design tests all in one week that came off as arrogant and unorganized. I was not happy with the experience.

When I got to the office, they told me to hang out in the kitchen until the owners were ready. I was called into their office 15 minutes after my interview was supposed to start. When I got in, the partners asked me which job I was interviewing for, so they clearly weren't ready for me. The interview itself was quick and seemed to go okay. They seemed really impressed with my international experience, and actually mentioned they were considering me for a Producer role instead of Associate Producer because of it. I sent a thank you email the next day and followed up two weeks later because they said they needed that long to interview other candidates. I haven't heard back on either email. It's pretty unprofessional to bring someone in and then not give them an update on their application.

I had a chat with two people from the animation team. We went over my portfolio in detail. They showed me some of the company's work. They asked me about software I know and my animation practices, and what I like to focus on. Then, I talked with Senior Management about salary and when I could start.
