Engineering Manager
The recruiter call was pretty bad. The recruiter was nice enough but didn't introduce themselves or the company. They just started asking a bunch of questions without any preamble. It felt like rapid-fire questions and not a conversation at all. I'm a passive candidate, and honestly, when you reach out to someone passive, you should be selling the company and the role upfront. This just felt like they were only interested in what I could do for them, which was off-putting. I almost backed out then and there. One question was 'Tell me how you utilize strategy.' I asked for clarification because I didn't understand what that meant. The recruiter just repeated the question, so I asked for an example. They really struggled with that, which made me think they hadn't really thought about the questions. They eventually gave a weak example. Another question was about the tech stacks I've used, which is on my resume. It felt like they hadn't even read it. Then, I asked if coding was required because I don't want to code. They said it was people management focused, but the job description was vague. The recruiter got annoyed and said, 'It's like I just said...' but they hadn't actually said 'no coding required.' It took 20 minutes to get through their questions before they told me anything about the company, and they rushed through that part. I was feeling pretty discouraged but asked my own questions anyway. Nothing really felt significant. It was a huge turn-off. I almost sent an email saying I wasn't interested but decided to see it through. I got a generic rejection email a few days later.

Product Development Manager
The hiring process was very smooth and straightforward. Michael kept me in the loop with everything and was super friendly and available. He made sure to touch base with me at least once a week, if not more, to keep me updated with everything. I had the initial screening interview with Michael then went on to interview with who I would be reporting to, then 3 team members and finally an interview with HR and an interview with the chief of the department this role falls under. Overall they were all great interviews, they felt more like conversations rather than the typical one -sided question and answer interviews.
- What do you consider to be a weakness of yours?
- What can you contribute to the team?
- Can you describe a time when you made a mistake?
Sales Manager
Overall, it was a great interview process. Khurram was a great partner throughout everything. What was best was the transparency throughout the whole process. After interviews we typically had a regroup to review feedback and align on what the next steps are. This was something that I had not experienced before. Additionally, it was very clear what each interviewer would be focusing on and discussing which helped me prepare more effectively and have better interviews.
- Can you tell me how your previous experience matches this position?
- What innovative ideas and strategies would you introduce?
- How do you deal with uncertainty and ambiguity in your work?
Software Engineer
It's a really structured and detailed interview process, which actually makes you feel good about their hiring. In today's crazy job market, their approach might seem a bit old-school, but it works. The interviewers were nice and welcoming, and it never felt like an interrogation. The recruiter kept in touch at every stage, sharing feedback both ways, which was appreciated. They seem like they're carefully building a strong team, and the current employees seem happy.
- I discussed with various functional leads and teams about how I would collaborate with them cross-functionally.
- There was a technical interview, but it wasn't a typical leet code type where you need to grind Data Structures or Algorithms. The core of most interviews boils down to two key questions, and this was no different: 1. Are you capable of performing the job duties? 2. Would your colleagues want to collaborate with you?
- The two crucial questions to assess are: Can you perform the required job functions? and Would the team want to work with you?
