Editor
It was a really fast-paced interview process, I think there were three interviews all within about a week. The last interview (the third one) involved a substantial writing task that had a 60-minute time limit. They did a good job of making me feel comfortable and respected throughout.
- How would you give a writer feedback?
Vice President
Had a good initial chat with HR and progressed to the second and final interview stages. Both video interviews were with senior leaders, though they were a bit late for both. I was given a significant project to complete, which required a lot of effort on my part. Everything seemed to go well, and I received a job offer. I wanted to discuss salary negotiations and get all the specifics, so my direct manager promised to speak with the CEO and said I'd hear back that evening or the next day. However, no callback was received. Following up the next week with my contact yielded no response, so I reached out to HR and still heard nothing. I eventually got an email response a week after the offer was extended, stating they had been busy and would get back to me. As of now, I haven't received further communication.
- Can you share details about your past experiences?
- Is giving your time to this company and making it a top priority something you are prepared to do?
Account Manager
The CEO sent over some questions on LinkedIn. The conversation felt rushed and like they weren't really interested in my input. The pay was also much lower than expected, like $20k less than the going rate. I decided to withdraw myself from consideration after that first chat.
- Given that this role involves being a strategist for accounts, how would your past experiences enable you to excel in client services?
- Could you identify your strongest marketing skills, such as PR, creative, or general marketing, that would be valuable to clients?
- What aspects of a company culture are important for your long-term commitment?
Media Relations
The interview process was pretty quick, taking about 2.5 weeks in total. I went through 3 rounds: first, the CEO reached out and asked some questions on LinkedIn, then there was a recruiter interview, and finally, an in-person skills assessment and interview. All the interviews were conversational, but they asked really specific questions to understand my expertise.
