Graphic Designer
overall not a bad experience. there was pretty straightforward communication honestly, however it was a biiit difficult in my humble opinion, and they ask too many questions its kind of overwhelming
- Tell me about your experience.
Trainer and Coach
The interview process was pretty straightforward; it seemed like they were more focused on whether I could be trained to their methods rather than my existing skills. This was mentioned in the first phone interview. They expected a second interview via Skype or Zoom with another director. However, after the phone interview and discussing salary, they offered a very low rate of $2,700/month, stating it was their final offer regardless of experience. I decided not to continue because the salary was way too low for the job requirements. It's strange since they make millions a year, so I wonder where all that money goes.
- What are your salary expectations?
Accountant
So first there was like a quick call to just screen me, asking about my accounting background, any finance software I used, and if I knew U.S. GAAP. Then I had an in-person (or Zoom) interview with the accounting manager and HR. They hit me with some technical questions about journal entries, reconciliations, and how I deal with month-end close deadlines. Oh, and I had to do a little Excel test too. It was pretty professional overall, focusing on technical stuff and how I communicate.
- Can you explain how you would approach a bank reconciliation that isn't balancing and what actions you'd take to identify the discrepancy?
- They wanted to understand my logical thinking process and how I manage stress.
Software Developer
Got an email from the team leader a few days after applying to set up a Skype interview. It was pretty easy, no difficult questions, and the interviewer was really nice. They asked some things from my resume, to tell them about myself, and also some questions about Java and Web development. Then I had to implement ONE problem using Java and send it back via email with a Readme file. The options were 1: Business Automation or 2: Web Application.
- Using Java, implement one of the following problems and send it back via email with a Readme file: 1: Business Automation OR 2: Web Application.
