First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Magrino Public Relations.
Account Coordinator
Had a meeting with some of the team for an entry level role. They asked about my writing experience and if I knew about news outlets. They also asked for writing samples after the interview and I went over my resume experience.
- Where do you get your news from?
Account Coordinator
I had a phone screen with HR that went well and was organized. Then I spoke with my potential supervisor who didn't really ask any questions, but instead talked about the clients I'd be working with. I thought it went great. After that, I had a follow-up with HR about logistics and confirming my willingness to relocate. HR mentioned they'd contact me the next day, but I never heard back even after I followed up.
- Which of our clients do you find interesting?
Intern
It was a simple two-round process. First, there was an introductory call with HR, followed by a call with the team. They asked about my past experiences and my reasons for wanting to work there. The interview itself was with two team members and felt pretty straightforward!
- Could you share your motivations for seeking an internship with us?
- What are your learning objectives for this internship opportunity?
Director
I applied and a recruiter reached out and then I was contacted by the HR Director who set up an in person interview. It seemed like they wanted to hire quickly for the role. The office felt polished, welcoming, and professional with nice people. I felt the role was a great match for my skills and personality. Next, I had a second interview with my potential direct boss. I knew I wanted the job within five minutes. She was knowledgeable, creative, and knew current industry trends. She was curious about my background and how I could help the team. I knew I would learn a lot from her. The process was fast and I got the job offer the next day. I'm very happy I joined the team. Everyone is friendly, collaborative, and welcoming.
- What value do you bring to this role?
