First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Magee-Womens Hospital.
Technician
The director seemed uninterested and delegated the interview to the regular staff, who were clearly unprepared and only asked routine questions. It felt like they were just going through the motions because they needed to fill positions. The only challenging question was about service recovery. They didn't offer any real insights into the day-to-day aspects of the job. Since it was during the peak of COVID, the whole experience left me with a poor impression of the department.
- Describe a time you had to recover from a service failure.
Resource Team
The interview process was super straightforward and the hiring manager was really pleasant! The questions asked were standard interview questions and not challenging at all. Submitting the application was also a breeze.
- What motivates your interest in working with us?
Administrative Assistant
The interview was pretty straightforward. They inquired about my ideal work setting and asked how a manager could best make me feel valued and attended to.
- How can a manager ensure you feel appreciated and listened to?
Clinical Research Assistant
I had two interviews for the same Clinical Research Assistant position with two studies. One interview was more of a screening, and the other was with the PI to discuss the role and responsibilities. However, for one of the studies, the interview was only with the coordinator, not the PI. I think it's beneficial to meet the PI to understand the role better and their mentorship potential.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a difficult individual at work and describe how you managed the situation?
