Maestro (MI) Interview Questions
& Process

I had an intro call with the lead person in HR, who was super kind and bubbly and got me excited for the hiring process. A few days later, I received an email for a video interview with the Department Head. I was so excited! I had the interview, and they surprised me with an additional person from Design, so there were three of them during the hour-long interview. I could just tell that the HR lady liked my energy, but these two men are hetero, married men who would never hire a gay guy like myself, let's just keep it 100% real here. I know how the game works. She gave me an exact time frame of when I should hear back if I was moving on. As you can tell, I didn't hear back until over two weeks later, and it was a copy/pasted rejection email. I knew it was coming, I could feel it.

It was a pretty relaxed but thorough process. I had about three to four rounds with different groups of people. They asked a variety of questions about my work habits, past experiences, how I communicate, and my personality. No technical skills test was needed for this role.

Applied online, had a phone screen, then went to the office. Interviewed with two people I would report to/work with, then with HR. The HR rep seemed disengaged, focused on her computer. Was told I'd hear back in a few weeks. Haven't heard back despite emailing and calling. Unprofessional.

I applied for this position online then had a phone screen. After the phone screen, I was asked to come in for an in-person interview and had to fill out a personality questionnaire. I interviewed with HR and the VP of operations, and then stayed for a second interview with the project management team. Process is very laid-back.
