The interview process started with a recruiter call, followed by two architecture interviews and a coding interview. After that, they proceeded to check references. While I apparently aced all the interviews, with one interviewer even saying I was experienced enough to interview them, things got strange during the reference check. They initially asked for two references, which I provided. However, after speaking with them, they requested a reference from a previous manager. The process had been ongoing for months, and I knew they were leaning towards making an offer. Because I had other offers and needed a decision, I informed them about my timeline constraints. Madhive ultimately chose another candidate they felt had 'better experience.' This was a pretty poor experience overall, and I wouldn't work with a company that makes such demands on candidates, only to discard them when the candidate pushes back. Reading other reviews, I think I dodged a bullet.

The interview process at MadHive was fast and smooth. I went through three interviews and heard back pretty quickly after each one. One interview was a group setting with the HR Coordinator and Technical Recruiter. The interviewers were friendly and easy to talk to. They asked good questions about my experience and why I wanted to join MadHive. The HR Intern was also really helpful and kept in touch via email, always giving updates and answering my questions about the hiring process.

I was contacted by an HR intern about a month after applying. The team members I spoke with were great, but the process went poorly at the end. There was a lack of communication even though I tried to reach out multiple times. I sent follow-up emails but got no replies. I'm unsure if it was my fault or if they were ignoring me. I was told I'd hear back in a week, but it took much longer. It was interesting that someone else had the same problem and posted about it on Glassdoor. The VP of Cultural Management & Strategy even responded to that review claiming significant improvements to their process, but my experience didn't reflect that. The whole process took a little over a month and included 4 rounds. While I didn't get the offer, I enjoyed talking to everyone on the team.

The interview process was pretty standard. I got through 5 interviews, which took about 20 days total. Then, out of the blue, I was really surprised to hear that "the team and the manager felt the overall alignment wasn’t quite right for this role and have decided not to move forward at this time". So it seems like they're not sure what they're looking for... You can decide for yourself if you want to be part of this company.
