So, the interview process here is designed to see if you're a good fit and have the right skills. First, you'll apply online or email. Then, if your application looks good, a recruiter might call you for a quick chat about your background, why you want the job, and what your salary expectations are. After that, there's usually another interview, either by phone or video, with a recruiter or the hiring manager. They'll dig deeper into your experience and how it matches the role, and why you're interested in us. They might also ask you some technical questions related to sales to check your knowledge.

A recruiter reached out about a job and scheduled a meeting with the hiring manager, but I ended up interviewing for a different role with someone else unexpectedly. The last-minute change left me disoriented. As the interview went on, I became less enthusiastic about the company. When I asked questions, the hiring manager became defensive and didn't even seem passionate about her own work. Their brand identity seems to rely heavily on collaborations with major companies like Disney. Ultimately, they offered me a salary significantly lower than initially discussed. I felt misled, especially since they initiated contact and I hadn't even applied for the position.

After acing a quiz with the application, I got a call back within a couple of days. They scheduled the first interview for within the week. The first interview went really well; I liked the team and the vibe, and I felt I did a good job. They then invited me for a second interview. I found the second interview a bit challenging. After that, I never heard back. While it's fine if they decided not to proceed, getting a clear yes or no would have been better than being left ghosted and unsure. I'm bummed about missing the opportunity, as I really liked the vibe and the people. I wish them the best.

My interview experience at Mad Engine was quite rough, showing the communication issues and executive level problems mentioned in reviews. For my second interview with the COO, I ended up waiting almost an hour, and then another executive interviewed me. This executive had no idea it was my second interview, which was frustrating as I had to cut into my busy workday with tight deadlines to make time for this. If I had gotten further, I would have declined the offer due to the extreme unprofessionalism from the executives and HR director.
