First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MacroFab.
Account Manager
So there were three rounds for this role. First, I spoke with the director of account management. Then, I met with some future teammates. The last interview was with the president. It was a standard interview process. My advice is to always prepare your own questions to understand the role better.
- Can you share your perspective on customer service and how you would contribute to our company's approach?
Sales
Nothing special. The questions they asked were textbook and straightforward. They spoke about themselves quite a bit. The management came across as arrogant and entitled. When I asked them questions back, their responses were somewhat vague and generic.
- Would you say you enjoy working in a fast-paced, chaotic environment?
Program Manager
I went through 6 rounds of interviews in total, including the initial phone screening. It was a decent experience overall, but it's been a month since the last interview and I haven't heard back, which is pretty annoying and unprofessional. Honestly, I kind of knew I didn't get the job when someone was texting during the fifth round. They really need to sort out their interview process. A simple rejection would have been more professional.
- How do you handle breaking bad news to clients?
- What's your comfort level with technology?
- What are three of your biggest weaknesses?
SQA Engineer
Had an intro call with a recruiter and then three rounds of interviews, one with the CEO. Things moved fast to set up. The vibe was nice and people were helpful. The interviewers told me about the company, themselves, and the plan, which helped me understand the job and company better. There were technical tasks and behavioral questions. The engineers seem to really enjoy their work.
- Is there anything else I should be asking you?
