Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Macquarie Group.
Senior Associate
The interview process was structured and professional. It kicked off with an HR screening. Then, there were two technical interviews covering financial concepts, data analysis, and problem-solving. The final stage was a meeting with a senior manager to assess strategic thinking, communication skills, and cultural fit. All interviewers were prepared and communicated clearly. It gave a good feel for the team and what the role entails.

Associate
The interview scheduling took a whole month after I applied, which felt quite slow. Right after the first interview, I got an email for psychometric assessments. Then, there was complete silence; my follow-up emails got no response. I only found out I wasn't successful when I checked the system, with no notification at all. Seriously, is sending a rejection email that hard?
- What is your motivation for applying to this position?
Senior Associate
I'm a CA and Macquarie shortlisted me for an interview. A friend referred me, and this was my first job after qualifying CA. I had a face-to-face interview at Building 9B in Gurugram. First, HR sent a psychometric test link which is tough, so maybe get help from a friend good at logical reasoning/verbal ability. VPs usually conduct the interviews. Be super sure about your CV details and know everything about Macquarie. They have a complex structure, so I read their Annual Report for 2 days beforehand. Two VPs interviewed me. They told me I was selected the same day in the evening. No other rounds.

- What are your thoughts on Section 194R in TDS?
