Leasing Professional
The interview process was good, though it felt a bit like an old boys club. It started with an interview with the manager, followed by a second interview with the VP. They decided on a candidate quickly. The whole thing wrapped up in about a week.
- How well do you handle shifting priorities?
Architectural Designer
After what seemed like a great interview, I did not hear back, even though I had personal connections within the firm and followed up twice. I later found out that another coworker of mine got the job, but they were fired not too long after.
- What makes you want to work in this role and at this company?
Interior Designer
The interview was very casual and friendly. It became clear that the company wasn't as progressive as they seem online. The teams seemed a bit siloed; the interiors team uses AutoCAD, while the architecture teams use Revit. There doesn't seem to be flexibility for remote work for people with families or needing different schedules, which is odd given how much time is spent on the computer, something that can easily be done from home. There were also other hints that made me think the company culture is only superficially modern.
- Could you clarify which contributions in the group projects presented in my portfolio were yours and which were completed by other team members?
IT
I had a phone interview, then a skills test, and finally a group interview. Basic programming questions were asked, but they seemed more focused on whether I was a good personality fit for the team. The group interview had the whole department there. Honestly, the interview process was better organized than the actual job.
