I found the job through a recruiter. I ended up talking to about 4 or 5 people, and the whole thing took around 2 hours. The questions weren't super hard, but the HR folks really dug into my resume. They also wanted to see if I could handle tough situations. It took them two months to let me know if I got the job.

I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. I had several phone screens with the recruiter and a short video chat with an HR representative. Then, I went in for an in-person interview where I met with 6-7 people and completed a written/computer exam. About three weeks later, I was informed I didn't receive an offer. However, about a month after that, I heard back from them, expressing continued interest and wanting me to meet with someone currently in the role who was getting promoted. I went back and met this person, who gave me a detailed overview of the job. Several people in the office mentioned that the feedback was positive. Later, the recruiter expressed excitement about me but mentioned a delay. I followed up a few times over the next couple of months but ultimately never received a definitive response, which was very disappointing as they had made me very enthusiastic about the role. I took time off work for the interviews and they didn't even have the courtesy to provide a clear rejection after stringing me along for 4-5 months.

It started with a phone call and then they had me come in person. Nothing too wild, but definitely do your homework. I felt good during the interview and the people at the office were super nice. I was happy to take the offer when it came.

I got there 15 minutes early. The reception area was nice, but don't put your bag or jacket on the seating thing; it's 'Art.' I was led to a conference room and offered a drink. I met with the person in charge, and we talked about the job description, asking and answering questions. Then, I was told the team had to have a meeting and couldn't interview me, so we'd need to reschedule. A few thoughts: it didn't seem to matter that I drove 2 hours from the Jersey Shore to Manhattan. If that's how you're treated initially, I can't imagine what they'd expect once hired. Also, everyone seemed on edge; you could feel the tension just by walking in for an interview. Hopefully, their health insurance covers PTSD.
