First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at M3.
Staff Accountant
Went through a supervisor, manager, and executive. Asked general accounting practices and GAAP Compliance questions. Will also ask you about the hotel industry and your knowledge on it. Good practice problems.
- What do you know about M3?
Quality Assurance Analyst
I found the job online and sent my resume. HR called me for a phone interview the same day, four days after I applied. I answered some questions via email, and then three days later, I had another phone interview with the supervisor. The in-person interview was on day 12, and I got the offer on day 17. The pay was $60k, which is a bit low given my experience, but the 5% 401k match helps. They mentioned an incentive program starting after 15 months, but wouldn't give details or a signing bonus to cover that time. Everyone seemed happy, the office space was nice, and parking was available.
- Can you explain the difference between retesting and regression testing and give an example of a simple SQL query?
- Why is regression testing important?
- What determines the criteria for test case steps and expected results?
Accountant
I was contacted by an internal recruiter. Then I had two phone interviews. After that, I spoke with the Accounting Managers. The recruiter called me one last time to discuss salary requirements, and I agreed to their offer. However, I was then ghosted by both the recruiter and the HR Manager. I've tried following up via email and phone, but I haven't received any response, not even to let me know they've moved on with another candidate. I saw another interview experience on Glassdoor that suggests this ghosting is a pattern.
- What would convince you to accept a different job offer instead of one from M3?
Scrum Master
I interviewed for a Scrum Master role at M3. The interviews themselves were alright. My main complaint was the interview process duration, which spanned over a month. It included a recruiter call, a hiring manager call, an in-person meeting with the hiring manager, and then a panel interview, all on separate days. M3 seems like a good company, but if you need a job quickly, this might not be the best place to interview.
- In a given scenario, what action would you take?
