Sales Associate
I applied in the store and got a call from them after 10 days for a phone interview. They invited me for an interview and told me about the salary (8.30GBP/hr) and that it was a part-time position. The interview was in their store basement in Leicester Square. After security, I entered a room with 6 other candidates for a group interview. I was the first to introduce myself. Then, everyone was asked about their strengths and weaknesses. We then waited outside for a call for a one-on-one interview with the hiring team (3 people: 2 female, 1 male). I went in and was asked about my customer service experience, my greatest strength and weakness, and the reasons behind them. I was asked if I had questions, and I said no, even about salary. They called me later that day to say I was rejected.
- Tell me about your greatest strength and weakness.
- What customer service experience do you have?
- What is your greatest strength and why?
Guest Experience Associate
I submitted my application online and then got a call two weeks later to set up the interview. They also mentioned bringing a resume copy for the manager. Parking was a bit tough, so I had to park at a casino nearby. I got there a few minutes early, but they were running about 15 minutes behind, so I waited in their staging area. Then, I was brought into the back office. The manager closed the door, offered me a seat, and sat down. He looked at my resume and went through a packet of questions. Most were typical, but a few were a bit different. The whole thing took about 15 minutes. We shook hands, and I thanked him as I left.
- Tell me about a time when something you said at work negatively affected you later.
Merchandiser
It was a group interview held at a hotel right across from the store. They split us into smaller groups for the interviews. They provided refreshments and some managers came in to share their experiences, talking up how great the company is.
- Can you tell us about your background in retail sales?
- How do you interact with customers on the sales floor?
- What are your techniques for increasing sales per customer?
Guest Experience Associate
We had a group interview, and the interviewer was super enthusiastic and made it really comfortable. They asked some easy questions about our past work and school experiences. It was really friendly, the energy was good, and the whole thing wasn't boring at all.
- Could you start by telling us a bit about yourself?
