First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LYCRA.
Engineer
The interview was straightforward with the usual questions asking about yourself. There were also some technical questions regarding your knowledge on basic electrical and mechanical theories. Overall the interview experience was pretty good.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What do you know about basic electrical theories?
- What do you know about basic mechanical theories?
R&D Manager
The interview process moved pretty fast. It started with a couple of phone chats, then I had an onsite interview. They made the final decision pretty quickly too. The company's location was a bit of a downside though.
- Can you describe your management style?
- What are your goals for the short term?
- What about your goals for the long term?
Spinner Operator
The interview process involved two interviewers asking about your past experiences for about forty-five minutes.
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with an angry person.
- Describe a situation where you identified a quality issue and explain how you handled it.
Content Manager
I got an HR call to schedule a phone screen. It took a couple weeks to get a half-hour call set up. I'm 80% sure the HR phone screen was done by a bot because she seemed to short-circuit whenever I asked a question that made her go off-script. Then, I had a Zoom interview with the hiring manager, who really grilled me about my lack of B2B communication experience. My resume clearly showed I didn't have B2B communication experience. If B2B communication experience was the most important thing, why pick me for an interview? Then they ghosted me. Yay.
- Why do you lack B2B communication experience?
