Copyeditor
It was good, I loved attending the interview. But they are way too unprofessional. I didn't like the way they treat the candidates. Wonder how they got a great place to work certificate.
- Tell me about your role.
- What are your qualifications?
Language Editor
The process was quite straightforward. I had a virtual interview where the interviewer mainly described their operations and then asked me some questions about my work methods. It was a one-on-one conversation, and they inquired about my availability to handle two to three papers weekly, estimating around 20 hours of work for this freelance, W2, remote position.
- In your past roles, have you handled proofreading tasks?
Language Editor
It was a simple online interview that lasted about 15 minutes. The interviewer described the company and my potential duties, as well as challenges I might face. They asked if I could deliver papers back as quickly as feasible, essentially confirming a commitment to around 20 hours weekly for this part-time freelance role.
- Do you have prior experience in this field?
- Are you able to commit to about 20 hours per week?
- Can you assure a swift turnaround time for documents?
Project Manager
We had 3 interviews. The first was a basic intro, asking about my interest in PM and previous experience. The second was a technical interview with the project manager. They asked the usual questions from the first round, but also about decision-making skills using scenarios, my communication style, and my enthusiasm. The third round was with the Operation head, who mostly asked about my past experience, certifications, in-depth knowledge from that experience, and communication. That was it.
- How would you handle a scenario where a project deadline is tomorrow at 6 PM, but only 70% is complete, and what steps would you take involving different teams to get it done?
