This was part of a hiring cattle call for all positions at the new location. The Store Director stepped out to talk to her mom for 5 minutes during the 15-minute interview. She hadn't reviewed my application at all and knew nothing about me or what job I was interviewing for. She constantly cut me off and pressed me for a marketing proposal in the first interview. I felt like she was just looking for good ideas to steal and for free consulting.

I wasn't interviewed, but I applied for the job on Monday. The next day, I got an email saying the job was already filled. It doesn't make sense to post a job if it's already filled, and it just made more work for applicants. This was especially annoying because Lucky's application is really long and hard to fill out. Lucky's really needs to sort out their hiring process! Their psych profiling questions are also pretty ridiculous.

We met up at a Tim Horton's because the store wasn't ready yet. I talked with the assistant director, and another person was with the director. They looked at my application and asked some questions. I didn't need a resume. They said they'd call if any jobs opened up because the cashier spots were filled. About a week after the store opened, my interviewer called and said someone quit, there was an opening, and asked if I wanted to join the team.

I applied online and then got an email from a recruiter to set up an interview. When I got to the interview, there was a sign-up sheet and a bunch of chairs with other people waiting for different jobs. The interviewer said he didn't have a schedule and people were just coming in. I was told I'd get a second interview, but I never heard back. The whole thing felt really disorganized and unprofessional.
