I attended a career fair where they talked about their company's values and what they look for in young professionals for the mining industry. I asked if they had opportunities in different regions and if moving was an option.

It was a two-step interview process. The first step was a panel interview with two people, and the second step was a one-on-one with the director of the area you'd be working in. This is for corporate roles, not sure about production.

So, I talked to headhunters like 3 times, and had about 10 conversations with managers inside the company. Then I had this interview where it was me and 2 managers in a small room, they were sitting across a table from me. After that, I met with a really high-up manager by myself in his office. They really want someone who's super outgoing and stylish, like, if you look like a supermodel with a country accent who hunts in sequins and has the latest iPhone, you're basically golden for this specific role. For other roles, I'd say dress nicely and be up-to-date, maybe with a pop of accessory. Definitely no tattoos, weird hair colors, crazy styles, or piercings besides ears. Your shoes need to be spotless, no dirt or scuffs at all. Mentioning if you have kids at Collegiate or family at VMI could be a plus. Be careful though, don't bring up their clients or contractors, you don't know how they feel about them.

the interview was okay, not too hard but not too easy. they wanted direct, not vague answers and they take notes so don't lie or be incoherent.
