It was a mix of technical and behavioural interviews. They asked algorithm and object design questions. The process included an online assessment and then a zoom interview. It was well structured and the questions felt fair. The technical questions were like Leetcode style, and the behavioural ones were standard.

I had 2 interviews. The first one was a screening call with a recruiter where they asked me basic questions about my experience and career goals. The recruiter was also able to answer all my questions. For the second interview, it was a 2 hour call with 2-3 QA team members at a time. They asked some really creative questions that made me think. It was a good experience overall.

Behavioral Technical

I had a phone interview with a Lucid employee in mid-October and they said I was moving on to the next stage for an on-site interview. Then another team wanted to interview me at HQ and said there would be two on-site interviews for both teams. I told them I had a prior commitment at their chosen time but was available after that and really wanted to visit. Weeks later, that second team canceled the on-site interview offer and made me do another phone interview instead. The first team's recruiter told me they paused recruiting in early November. By December, the second team rejected me without the on-site interview they promised, and I hadn't heard anything from the first team. It's now January, still no word from Lucid, and I've accepted another offer. The whole interview process with Lucid was really disorganized, confusing, frustrating, and frankly, pathetic. I know Lucid is a great company, but their interviewing process was honestly the worst I've ever experienced.
