First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lucid Software.
Customer Success Manager
The Lucid recruiter told me they had a high hiring bar, and a robust process--and they weren't kidding. However, everyone I interviewed was professional, cordial, and awesome. Lucid has great people. It started with a 10-minute phone screening with the recruiter. Then, there was a 45-minute interview and case study with managers, followed by a 45-minute interview and demo with a team member and manager. After that, I had a 30-minute interview with the Sr Director and then a final 30-minute interview with the SVP.

Customer Success Manager
I went through two interview processes for a Customer Success Manager position. The first one included a phone screen and then another phone call, after which I received an automated rejection. The second process involved speaking directly with the hiring manager, but I got another automated decline even though she indicated she'd follow up after her vacation. It wasn't a great experience with too many phone calls. I never got a chance for an onsite interview, despite performing well in the phone interviews and meeting all the qualifications. I'm unsure what they were looking for!
- Can you describe your professional activities over the last few years?
Customer Success Manager
The interviews were good and professional, but it all went wrong at the end because of how the final stage was handled. I finished all the interview rounds, was told I got to the final stage, and they even asked for referrals. Then, I just got a generic rejection email. I asked for feedback but never got a real explanation. Since this stage required a lot of time, prep, and involving my network, it felt dismissive and unprofessional. The company should be more transparent and respectful to final-round candidates. If you ask candidates to put in this much effort and involve their network, at least give them honest communication. The lack of transparency and accountability at the end made the whole process feel unfair and disrespectful.
- Can you discuss your past professional experience?
