First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lucid Software.
Content Specialist
I applied for an entry-level Content Specialist role and went through Lucid's interview process, receiving their final decision a month later. The first step was a 30-minute phone screening with a recruiter, which felt very casual. Next, I had a 30-minute Zoom behavioral interview with a team member. Following that, I completed a 30-minute writing assignment. The final round consisted of three consecutive 30-minute Zoom interviews with different team members, which felt redundant as they asked similar questions. The entire process, including interviews and preparation, took over 8 hours of my personal time, which I found excessive for an entry-level position, especially given I didn't receive an offer. The rejection email was generic and didn't reflect the extensive time I invested.
- Can you start by telling me about yourself?
- Could you please walk me through your resume?
Content Marketing Specialist
I had a 30-minute phone interview, followed by a two-hour on-site. For the on-site, I met seven people, two at a time mostly. The staff seemed nice, but I suspect only three had done this before. No one was mean. They offered me a drink. They didn't get back to me when they said they would, so I followed up and got an auto-reply saying I wasn't selected because they found better matches. I've seen the job reposted, and a similar one with fewer requirements. My advice for Lucid Software? Give real feedback to candidates. Two hours is a lot of time, especially for working people. Seven interviewers! Could one of them reach out with something useful?
- Out of all the people in the valley qualified for this position, where do you believe you rank among them, what makes you better, and what makes the people ranked above you better?
- Please complete this online grammar quiz.
Content Specialist
I spoke with three people during the interview process: a peer, my potential manager, and a senior leader. The interviews were challenging but appropriate for the role. I got the vibe that they weren't super enthusiastic about being there, seeming a bit distant.
- Could you share some examples of content marketing projects you've worked on previously?
