First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LTS.
Vice President
It was an interview panel with a bunch of senior execs, like separate interviews with each one. It was all done on TEAMS. They also requested multiple meetings after the job offer to go over my goals, salary, benefits, and stuff like that.
- Can you tell me about your experience and background?
Java Developer
Had an initial technical phone screen. If I passed that, they scheduled a face-to-face interview that was half behavioral and half technical, and I might have had to do some work on the whiteboard. The technical screens involved answering questions about my resume accomplishments and if I had certain skills or experience, but they didn't ask any deep dive questions about technologies or do any coding or design tests.
- Tell me about how projects were prioritized and deadlines were set at your previous job. Was that process effective, and what improvements would you suggest?
Senior Software Developer
The process started with a brief chat with a recruiter where we went over salary expectations and job specifics. I was referred by someone I'd connected with on LinkedIn, but they weren't interested due to the commute. Next, there was a phone screen with a technical person. I think I did well because I anticipated their questions and elaborated on how I've used specific technologies on my resume that I figured they were looking for. The in-person interview was a panel with a lot of people, which was a bit intimidating, but I got a really good sense of the team I'd be working with. The fact that so many people took time out of their busy day to interview showed they were serious about hiring. I had the flu during the panel interview, and it was pretty obvious; I chose not to reschedule, though I worried about how that might be perceived.
- Can you describe how you'd approach debugging a failing QUnit acceptance test in a headless browser?
Mobile Web Developer
A recruiter reached out to me about this role, and I hadn't heard of the company before. I already had another offer in hand. The interview was more about them selling me on the opportunity than vetting me. The interviewer seemed very technical and did have me whiteboard. It was a fair and appealing interview, and I ended up accepting and starting that same week.
- Can you share your developing experience and what you've learned?
- Could you code a chat app that filters out inappropriate words?
