I had two interviews, one by phone and one in person, within a week of each other. It seemed to be going really well, like I already had the job. The interviewer thought I exceeded the requirements and had fantastic experience, and even said I’d do a great job and it would be easy for me. She mentioned how much she needed help and asked if I could start the following week. We discussed her plans for things like diversity training. She even confirmed rumors that the company only hired a certain race for management roles. After the interview, she said I'd hear back in two days, but I didn't. After a few more days with no response, I was contacted to be told she changed her mind and wouldn't be hiring for the position anymore. I wouldn't consider this company again.

Behavioral Other

This was a super weird interview and onboarding process. First, they really focused on my salary needs, which felt unnecessary. After the interview, the manager actually discouraged me from taking the job and even mentioned another company they were leaving for. They did say my salary requirements could be met though. Then HR contacted me saying they were interested and wanted to check references. HR contacted one of my references and asked really strange, possibly illegal questions, seeming to want negative feedback. HR even looked up the company website and contacted a random person for references, which is odd. My reference said they'd never been asked such questions. There are lots of bad reviews online for this company, and now I see why. It was a total red flag situation. I declined the offer and am glad I did.

Behavioral Presentation

It took about 2 weeks to get through the whole process. It started with a phone interview, then a manager interview, and finally an upper management interview. Make sure you show up on time and seem excited to be there. Have your resume ready and be prepared to talk about your past experience and what you can bring to LSO.

The background check was really smooth and thorough. The job itself was stressful, and management didn't seem open to hearing complaints or team input. It could have been a good job if employee opinions about the work were actually considered.
