The interview process was pretty straightforward. It was a fairly quick process that moved nicely. Applied online and talked to some nice people. It involved typical engagement questions.

The interview process was quite thorough yet fair. It gave me a good opportunity to learn more about the company and its culture, and also to meet some of my potential colleagues. The process involved an interview, followed by a presentation, and then wrapped up with a casual meet and greet session.

Started with a screener call from an external recruiter. Then had an interview with the hiring manager and the head of finance where they asked STAR questions. They were looking for someone with strong data expertise, even though they themselves lacked knowledge in this area (they thought VBA was Visual Basic and didn't know what a SQL join was). Their understanding of pricing was limited to cost-plus, which is not how the role is described. This made the interview feel difficult and unstructured, and I suspect the role itself will be similarly challenging due to the unclear and misunderstood scope. The finance team also seemed toxic; they didn't believe my reasons for leaving my previous job, which was strange considering they were interviewing me anyway. They acted very arrogantly, as if being acquired by Goldman Sachs made them equivalent to Goldman Sachs and their positions equally prestigious. It's a very conceited attitude.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was a 3 stage process, starting with a Hogan personality test, followed by a 12-question ISO27001 quiz and a 1-hour timed audit test with scenarios and documents. The final stage was a 60-90 minute video call to review the tests, conduct a standard interview, and present the company's offerings. An offer was extended via a recruiter but then rescinded due to a misunderstanding about my willingness to travel 50% of the time to client sites. The hiring manager misread an email from the recruiter. The audit lead also seemed unable to read an email correctly and then avoided communication.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • What are three essential qualities for an auditor?
  • Describe how you would establish a good relationship with a client.
  • Tell me about a time you resolved a conflict with a client, team member, or someone you worked with.
