Research Assistant
The interview process is straightforward and welcoming, focusing on mutual fit. Candidates engage in a relaxed conversation, discussing their skills, experiences, and aspirations. Questions are clear, relevant, and aimed at understanding the candidate's potential contribution to the team.
- Did we get you excited about this opportunity?
Innovation Director
I had a phone screening with the search committee, followed by a 5-hour on-site interview composed of several 1-hour panels. Unfortunately, most of the panel interviewers were unprepared, pulling up my resume on their phones for the first time during the interviews. One faculty panel was an exception, as they were well-prepared and asked good questions. It was a frustrating experience, and I'm still dealing with the reimbursement for my flight and expenses a month later, which is very unprofessional for the organization.
- Could you explain your understanding of the Jesuit Catholic mission and provide examples of service you have performed throughout your life?
Intern
I was asked about my past experience and then they offered me a position the next day. They also asked about my classes and my previous experience, and also about my plans for hours. They also explained the project and checked that I understood the work.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a disagreement within a team or group and describe your involvement?
- Tell me about your classes and previous experience.
- What are your availability/hour plans?
Program Assistant
Started with a phone screening. Then I interviewed with all the administrative staff and faculty in the department. It was a day packed with group interviews and then individual interviews. After all that, they called with an offer.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
- What are your thoughts on religious preference in the workplace?
- Could you describe your availability for a work schedule?
