First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Love & Company.
Account Director
I went through three zoom interviews and a written assignment. I didn't get much feedback. I actually started the process over because they said they 'filled the role internally,' but then they reached out again a few weeks later to re-interview me. After 3 more steps, they emailed to say they went with another candidate. I saw yesterday that the role was posted again. Clearly, they aren't very honest!
- What are your greatest strengths?
- How do you manage challenging clients?
Project Manager
After I applied, the Founder/President reached out to set up a phone call and also handled all the assessments himself, which I found a bit strange since it wasn't a confidential hire and the job was advertised. This made me worry about micromanagement. I did two assessments from home, and then on-site, I had to complete two more before the interview. The interview itself was late in the evening with the Founder/President and two Directors, who both commented on the late hour and their tiredness, raising concerns about future late nights. The interview went as expected, covering introductions and role details. I was also underwhelmed by the office's sophisticated appearance, as the decor and furnishings seemed dated for a digital marketing agency.
- Can you describe your organizational methods?
Client Services
Simple. Went in to meet with some of the higher-ups of the department I'd be working in, then a second time to meet with someone I would be working closely with. They described what I'd be doing, asked if I could do it, no problems, simple interview. There were a few quick paper tests. One was a proof-reading test, I think the other was for logical thinking.
- What aspects of marketing appeal to you?
Interactive Director
The interview started with two online assessments that were supposed to take 2.5 hours total, but ended up taking me 4.5 hours to complete. I would have preferred a quick 10-minute call beforehand instead of these lengthy tests.
- There was a strange 10-minute visual test where I had to find differences between images, like something from a children's activity book.
