This was a panel interview with two engineers in the department. They each took turns asking some general and technical questions related to the water service industry. There were a few minutes left for me to prepare questions for the oral exam.

It was a lot of technical questions. Two interviewers, lasted about 30 min. The questions would start easy with engineering concepts and get harder until they were happy. The questions for a civil job covered structures to water treatment. The interviewers were engineers from DWP, so many questions were technical. They were nice and would hint at what they were looking for if I didn't get there fast enough.
