Interviewing here was a quicker process. They were very transparent. I had one virtual interview and one in-person presentation, which was followed by a discussion and interview. The people who interviewed me were very kind and enthusiastic about me. Unfortunately, I was not selected and had to follow up with them a second time to get this information.

I sent in my application online and after three weeks, I got a call from the hiring manager, who was the attorney. The phone interview went really well, but then I didn't hear anything for two weeks. So I reached out again, and they said the hiring process was still happening. I waited more, not wanting to bother the attorney, figuring they were busy. After another three weeks, I followed up again and got no reply. It's super unprofessional to leave people hanging without any updates or feedback. I would have been fine if they just let me know they found someone, but getting ghosted is really disrespectful of my time and just plain rude.

After I applied, I heard back about a month later to set up a phone chat with the person who would be my boss. That call lasted just under half an hour. Later that same day, I got a call to schedule an in-person interview for the next week. Before the in-person, they asked me to edit a letter and send in a writing sample based on a prompt. The in-person interview involved my future boss and a few other people from the team. It lasted just under an hour. A few days later, I had another interview with my future boss and the head of the department. That one also went for just under an hour.

This interview was pretty focused on getting to know me as a person. It seemed like they were looking for someone who had a good mix of personality and hands-on experience. I think someone who's more extroverted would really fit in well here. The people interviewing me were really knowledgeable, often with advanced degrees and personal experience in the field. So, it would be beneficial if you can talk openly about your past struggles, but also be really resilient and not easily hurt. Basically, they want someone who's stable and even-keeled.
