& Process

Had a quick 15 min intro call on Teams, then a big 30 person group interview that went for 4 1/2 hours. We started the group part with a 15 second intro, then a 30 second debate with someone else about why our college was the best. After that, the winners did a 30 second pitch on who the greatest athlete of all time is. (Pro tip: Don't pick a Laker lol). Then we were split into groups of 6 and sent to different suites for 6 rounds of group interviews. They asked stuff like "how competitive are you on a scale of 1-10?" and "Would you rather be #1 and hated or middle of the pack and well liked?" Seems like competitiveness is a major value for them. My advice: just tell them you'd sell your mom and family pet for a chance to work there. haha!

There were 4 rounds. First was a screening call to get to know you, intro to the job, resume overview, and a basic technical assessment of skills you know. Next, you meet with the marketing and product team. Questions centered around your resume experience, product management skills, interpersonal skills. Also went over the tools they use to do analytics and your familiarity with the concept of the tools and how you'd use them. Lastly, you meet with the manager of the product team for a vibe check type interview.

I applied on teamworkonline.com and a week later I was invited in for an interview. The process starts with a large group of over 50 candidates in a room. Managers from different departments come in and talk about their area. Then, you sign up for four departments you're interested in. I suggest getting close to the signup table. Each department only has four time slots with six spots per slot, and they fill up super quickly! I managed to sign up for three interviews: Corporate Partnerships, MVP Services, and Group Events. Each of these group interviews is 30 minutes long. The questions weren't too tough. Since I don't have a sports background, I felt they seemed to favor candidates who did. It was still a good chance to interview with the Clippers.

So I applied online to a general ad about game night internships in a few different areas: Community Relations, Fan Relations, Group Sales, and Sponsorship. After waiting a few weeks, they sent an email asking candidates to come in for some group interviews. There were 8 of us candidates and 2 interviewers for each. I actually ended up doing 3 group interviews: one for Community Relations, one for Fan Relations, and one for Group Sales. Each one was about 30 minutes. They were pretty chill and straightforward, nothing too weird, and the managers seemed really nice.
