First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lorven Technologies.
Front End Developer
The interview was conducted via email. I received a set of questions to assess my skills. They were polite and helpful, and any questions I had were answered. They provided a good description of the role and its responsibilities.
- What web technologies are you familiar with (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)?
IT Recruiter
I had two phone interviews. After those, I haven't heard anything back. I got a lot of calls from them before, but then they stopped calling.
- Can you tell me about the US IT process?
Programmer
I saw the job opening on some websites and thought it was interesting so I applied online. They liked my profile and I was invited to interviews. There were a few rounds: first a screening, then a phone call, then a Skype call, and finally an in-person interview. After that, HR talked to me about salary and benefits. It took a couple of days to hear back about the results, and then there was a background check and a drug test.
- Tell me about design patterns.
- Can you explain Map Reduce concepts?
- What do you know about Scoop?
Python Developer
The interview involved a technical screening. They mainly asked about fundamental Python concepts such as lists, tuples, dictionaries, and OOPS. I was asked to write some code for lists, dictionaries, and classes. There were also questions about REST APIs and other database-related topics.
- Can you explain the differences between Python's list, tuple, set, and dictionary data structures?
- What are the core principles of OOPS, specifically inheritance, encapsulation, and polymorphism?
