Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Loomis Sayles & Company.
Intern
I had two interviews with the company. The first was with a human resources representative, and it was more along the lines of behavioral questions, the predictable type. The second was with the manager of the program, and that had more technical based questions.
- In terms of market trends, how do you stay informed?
Intern
There were two rounds to the interview process. First, I had an in-person interview with the hiring coordinator. Then, I had another in-person interview with the supervisor I would be working with that summer. It was an easy interview, mostly behavioral and some general questions about the industry.
- What motivates your interest in asset management?
Intern
I got an email to set up a first interview. The person interviewing me wasn't great and didn't seem very engaged. The questions they asked were pretty general and not specific, asking about my general abilities without needing proof, which means I definitely over-prepared.
- Tell me about a time you had to work with a teammate who was difficult.
